Starting today, Cassida Corporation began shipping an upgraded version of its 5520 Professional Currency Counter that will save time and simplify operations for cash handlers and processors nationwide.
This new and upgraded model now includes ValueCount™ technology, an exclusive feature to Cassida, that lets users get a count of different denominations, while keeping track of the total value of the bills in the machine’s stacker.
According to Matt Goldfain, product marketing manager for Cassida Corporation, "ValuCount essentially allows the Cassida 5520 to be both a bill counter and have some properties of a currency discriminator, which is unique to the marketplace."
ValuCount™ uses the denomination selected by the user to calculate the dollar value of the count. By activating ValuCount™ in the add mode, users can count different denominations while keeping track of the total value, which brings the money counter to another level, making it sort of an in between for the standard currency counter and a discriminating currency counter. This is something totally unique in this price range of money counting machines.
Here is a short video to explain how ValuCount™ works:
While it is not a "true" discriminating money counter, it will allow users more options to help streamline many cash handling duties with this new feature, and it could offer businesses that don't currently have the funds to get into a much more costly money discriminator to enjoy some new benefits with their money counting.
The Cassida 5520 money counter also offers peace of mind because of its ability to detect a wide range of counterfeit bills, using ultraviolet and/or magnetic sensors, depending on the model. Once a counterfeit is detected, the 5520 stops the count and dispenses the suspect bill into its stacker for removal. The LCD screen also showcases the reason the counterfeit bill was rejected.
Built in infrared sensors allow
the 5520 bill counter to spot a wide range of bill discrepancies, including half,
double and chain notes. In all cases the user is alerted with an audible
beep and an error message is shown on the LCD screen, making
maintenance easy and facilitating continuous counting.
A new LCD screen on the
front of the Cassida 5520 money counting machine showcases both bill counts and count values in
large, easy-to-read numbers. The machine can process up to 1300 bills
per minute and is compact enough to be transported wherever cash counts
need to happen. Rounding out the new features is an upgraded steel hopper that makes this trusted machine even more
durable than it already was.
